We will attempt to do something about it but it is all but inevitable. China has a much larger population and are therefore much more productive than we are. They have fairer trade laws because they have a smaller middle class and no minimum wage which allows them to produce items cheaper and still be competitive economically. Plus we want their markets to be more open because we can sell our products to them. So long as they continue to want what we have to offer their rise is actually a benefit to us and will help our economy. they will of course surpass us but that will also be a benefit to us because one the reasons we are such a target is because of our immense wealth

Since China has 4 times the population and workers of the US it seem likely their economy will become larger than the US unless they have major economic problems. I am not sure what you think America should do. Institute policies that keep the Chinese people in poverty? Open the US borders to increase our work force to equal China's?

It won't be in 50 years, more like 10 to 20. Too many Americans are complacent and that's something that just won't be turned around easily, not to mention that China has 4 times the population of the USA

Yes the Chinese will if they continue you develop free market reforms; so will India. If just numbers, both China and India have well over a billion people we can't compete with that.
Europe will not, their socialism is drowning their economies, a strong currency is not great at predicting a good economy.

Uhh... The chinese language government is administered by utilising PR people. Watch Jia Zhangke's "nonetheless existence" and Yi Lifan and Yan Yu's "before the Flood" and tell me of all of the coolest things with regards to the scientists and engineers working the three Gorges Dam challenge. China's infrastructure is truly truly precarious, in particular by way of extreme discrepancy between the elite and the trouble-free citizen (which sounds common)... Their contemporary fulfillment isn't unavoidably tied to capitalism, although. Deng Xiaoping revolutionized their financial device in 1980, surely adopting some variety of capitalism. And it took years before their financial device exploded. It has plenty greater to do with truly sturdy economic making plans by utilising the elite and not giving a **** approximately who they run over on the backside. a sturdy occasion became while people have been being resettled contained in the middle of the aforementioned 3 Gorges Dam challenge a family contributors of four became distributed an 80 sq. m. domicile. If a family contributors moved up from a 60 sq. m. domicile to an 80 sq. m. domicile they had to pay someplace around seven hundred yuan for each extra sq. meter. yet while a family contributors moved from a one hundred sq. m. domicile to an 80 sq. m. domicile they have been in ordinary terms payed 3 hundred yuan for each lost sq. meter. they actually made a earnings moving people. and that they manipulated and exploited each and each damaging individual who lived contained in the flooded zones.

Correction, they have projected it for over 20 years. Economists record that China's economy as of now strengthens at almost 15% and that's one of the rarest phenomenons in any country's economic performance in whole of human history, and they say after 30 years, China will no longer be satisfied in all of the world's resources even all countries combine all their raw materials. Well, for US, i'll just have to say that what comes up, must come down (hardly so that their butts would crack).

A resounding YES. The way I hear things, its more like 25 years. They are very motivated and disciplined. Hard work is a virtue that they take on willingly, unlike Americans who look for the easy way to do things. They will need to control their population as they rip through their resources and the rest of the worlds resources in no time flat. We will all suffer the escalation of prices as they continue to consume steal, cement, and many other scarce resources. A twin earth would need to exists just to feed them the things they will demand shortly. The whole thing makes me nervous because we contribute to their world dominance. We import $280 billion dollars worth of goods from China. We are the ones giving them the edge. We train their entrepreneurs and help build their cities. We rely on their investment dollars to finance our deficit spending. I better stop here, I'm getting depressed thinking about it.

A truer measure to see who is running the best numbers is GDP per capita. If you notice China is still way behind. What good are the large numbers of GDP if most of your people are poor farmers?
