3 cm dialated

2007-03-29 07:57:20 · answer #1 · answered by tiffany 3 · 1 0

A lot of waiting, I am 36 weeks and slightly over 4 cm (was 3cm for over 2 weeks) your body is just starting to dilate which can take weeks. I asked my dr how far you could go on BH contractions and he said pretty far, so you just have to wait until you are in active labor-your contractions will come regular every 5-8 minutes apart for at least an hour then you can go to hospital. until then your just waiting, walking, sex, nipple stimulation are all said to help labor along. as of right now your just in the early stage, not yet active.

WALK WALK WALK if you want to have that baby easily! I was dialated 2cm when I was 39 weeks and at 40 and had my baby at 40w4d. Wait until 41 weeks to be induced. Natural is awesome!

I was 4cm dialated at 36 weeks.... I had to wait. Finally I asked my doctor to strip my membranes at 37 weeks... I had him 3 days later. Mostly because I was sick of being pg and said I thought my water broke. I went into the ER and it was a good thing cause I starting to show signs of preeclampsia....

Good luck!
:-) and congrats

You'll probably be going into labor real soon. Call the doc, and let him know. Pack your hospital bag. And take a nap, so you dont have to go thru labor all exhausted. Have you had contractions? If not, they'll be here soon!

Labor could come tomorrow, or it still could be a few weeks off. My sister went almost a month at 2 cms and still needed pitocin. Best of luck.

At LEAST three more weeks of pregnancy, eight more centimetres, a lot of pushing, then hopefully a baby.
