I want to get the foot locker waterproofing spray for boots. Can I use that on regular sneakers and on suede pumas?

Waterproofing sprays are generally safe for all footwear. If you run or walk in a running style shoe, you may not want to waterproof them as you want the shoe to be able to allow air to circulate while running or walking.

You may want to be careful using it on the suede pumas, as it will have a tendency to darken the colors of the suede.

You should not use the same kind of spray for smooth leather as you do for suede. For work boots or shoes, you could use something like LaCrosse Waterproofing Spray, Kiwi Ever Dri Spray, Kiwi Liquid Camp Dry, Meltonian Silicone, Sno-Seal, Mink Oil, Camp Dry, Neatsfoot Oil, etc. For suede, it is generally not a good idea to wear suede when it is wet outside. However, if you must, use a spray on suede protectant.

In general, I would not wear an expensive pair of shoes, whether they were designer shoes or traditionally styled shoes, outside if it might become wet. I would be careful if I had a pair of really expensive shoes and I would seek the advice of a shoe repair shop as to what to use.
