I think that we sometimes struggle so we have a clear picture. My financial struggles has made me want to help others. I mean, I'm happy without being rich, but we can't get into a house because of our bad credit. And it seems that every time we start to get ahead a little, our car breaks down or my husbands hours get cut or something...I hope that someday I can help people. I think that my "troubles" have shown me that sometimes good people mess up. We sure did. And we're going to pay for it for the rest of our lives. We just hope we can get it together enough to someday help others. Sometimes a small act of kindness goes a long way. My daughter and I pick up trash around the playground before we play when we go. Someday, I want to be the person who leaves a $500 tip for someone who clearly needs it. We all have our own struggles and hurdles, learn from them and move on. I used to see our mistakes as just that, now I see them as an opportunity to grow and help others.

I think that everyone has there moments and that no one sails effortlessly. It seems that way cause some hide it better than others and you do not see what happens behind closed doors.

Yes, sometimes the plight of others does break my heart, but some people create and nurture their own misery. I have done this in my life as well. You can only fix yourself. It is nice that you are so compassionate. Too bads others are not so kind.

No one sails through life. They just cope better. Learning to cope is the key. Some resort to getting help from others. Some rely on themselves. Those that do neither whither and die

My husband asks this of me all the time. He looks at my life and says that I am very blessed and that by comparison, he's gotten all the hard knocks.
I say that your perspective and how you handle each situation that comes your way makes a huge difference. Plus faith in God.

Yeah. It really sucks. I wish there was a way for everyone to have it equally as hard. You don't really learn anything if your don't have to do something the hard way.

It does hurt.
What I have learned is to look for the good we can learn from each situation.
Sometimes we just learn to value the good in our lives.
