I totally know what you mean, during my first pregnancy my daughter got them a lot, at first they were cute, but after an hour they got very annoying! what i did is i would either eat something kinda spicy or something really cold (like Ice cream) i don't know if that had anything to do with getting rid of them but it seemed to work for me! good luck!

My daughter used to get hiccups all the time before she was born. By the time I was 40 weeks my whole stomach would jump and twitch for hours (usually at 4am!!) She still gets the hiccups a lot now after meals.
Apparently hiccuping in utero helps to develop the muscle spasm that causes a baby to take it's first breath.
It's a lovely feeling though. Enjoy it! And Good Luck!

My daughter had the hiccups at least once every day, for much of my pregnancy. It drove me crazy, but the doctor said there was nothing wrong, it meant nothing except that she had the hiccups, and there was nothing that could be done about it. It didn't happen at all with my second pregancy.

i am 37 weeks and my daughter has been having hiccups almost every day (at least once) for months now... they are not harmful, but feel wierd... i havn't found anything to stop or prevent them though, sometimes if I rub my belly where I think her back/belly is she calms down and they stop... but it's no guarentee... good luck!!

my little bean used to get them all the time!
after a while it used to drive me bonkers!!
i just wanted a way to help him stop b/c i know i don't really like it when i get the hiccups.
he doesn't get them too much now, or maybe i'm just a bit sleep deprived and it doesn't stick out in my mind.
take care!
