This is an interesting, really interesting question. Does it have to be one person? OK, one person. OK. This is tough.
Because for me it would not be some huge political figure or some genius, or some other person in the last few hundred years or even since the beginning of history whose name we would all (most of us) know.
For me it would be more personal.
I would want to resurrect my father. I would want to know why drinking was more important to him than anything else in the world, including me and my mother and my 3 sisters.
I would want to know what he did for the cops to come to our house and take him away. I would like to understand the lawyer's bill that I saw in the bill file. I would like to know did he really get into some stupid fight and punch some guy's eye out and that's why he lost his job, or was this just one more lie? Or was he cheating on my mother and got into a fight? Or was he moving in on some guy's girl and got into a fight?
I would like to know how he got the scratches and blood all over him when he came home one Friday night. I would want to know where he was when we could not find him over and over and over again every weekend. I would like to know why his drinking buddies were more interesting than me. I would like to know why when I was abused by his best friend he did not believe me. I would like to know why the last words he said to me were "you were a good daughter." I don't know what that means. He never told me. Was it because I was quiet? Afraid? Not believed in anything I said?
That is why I would like to "resurrect" my father.

I would resurrect someone who had done GREAT things in their life, worldly things that weren't selfish and contributed to our way of living. So, whomever you may think that is in YOUR life is perfect. Any one person who had done great things for you, or more people is a person who should be here, because you know they would do it again =)

Bruce Lee.
There's just so many things that he could still contribute. Guro Dan contributes a lot now. I just think that Sifu Bruce would be able to add to that as well. Plus give us more insight, not just in the martial arts, but life in general. I have learned a lot of things from his books, his thoughts in Philosophy. His short, but impactful life.
R.I.P.

I would have to ressurect Sylvia Plath. I think once she stopped crying and threatening to kill herself (again) she would probably be one of the best conversationalists around. She was absolutely insane and totally brilliant...what more of a reason do I need? I also have some questions about a few of her poems that I am dying to get answers to...

I know you said one, but I have two, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. I believe their visions for our nation and the world was cut off far too early. I would have liked to have been able to see what the outcome might have been.

I'd resurrect Jesus, because that would seriously piss off a lot of people I don't like.
I'd love to get his analysis on the history and present state of Christianity, too.
