I work for my boyfriend for 4 years now. I can come in late if I need to, and leave early if I have to. I can take off if my son is sick and I have to take care of an appt. I get paid for the whole week weather I work or not. The only bad thing is NO BENIFITS.

My other job is paying me a little less, I have a set schedule that I need to be there or get fired. If I don't work, I don't get paid. But it has benefits.

what should I do?

I would stick with the first job you mentioned. It's hard to find a job that is very flexible and pays you no matter how many hours you work. As far as the benefits go...try to search around for other options as to receive benefits. Years ago I heard about a company that offers health benefits but the premiums would be higher to pay than the ones you would pay through your job.

GOOD LUCK!!! I'm sure everything will work out for you..

Take the benefits if you care about your son.

not to be the devil's advocate but what happens if you and your boyfriend break up? plus you have a son and benefits are a must when you have a child.

Stay where you are? What sort of benefits are you talking about?
