It looks like the democrats Diane Feinsten has gotten her hands caught in the cookie jar.

approved.

As reported in Metroactive, an online report from the Silicon Valley, Feinstein's resignation followed six years of subcommittee work during which time her alleged conflict of interest stemmed from her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of Perini Corp. and URS Corp.

Basically she was funneling military contracts to her husband, which is illegal. So if Duke Cunninham and Bob Ney, both Republicans went to jail for their crimes. Will Diane Feinstein go to jail?

Must be those Democrat "ethics" we keep hearing about. When finally called out on it, after 6 years, she decides to stop her conflict of interest?

No, an ethical person would have not spent one second in such a compromising position. I certainly would not do so, and think it highly unethical for her to have done so.

Look at the defense of the indefensible going on. Democrats!

No way congress is too busy trying to find out why Bush fired all those attorneys. You know the ones that work at the discretion of the president, unless the president is Republican, in whitch case they are scandal fodder.

URS is a company that trades on the NYSE. I know you didn't mean to imply that Richard Blum owned URS did you? Of course not, you know better than that don't you? Maybe he had stock in the company. But wasn't URS one of those Carlyle group defense companies? What about their EG&G division? I'm sure that was a Carlyle Company.
Quit reading that garbage news and really try to find out what is really going on.

I'm close to being convinced this story is untrue. All of the articles on it I have found all refer back to the one Metroactive story. It's especially telling that Fox hasn't picked it up as I'm sure they would.

May she spend the rest of her days in a jail cell; may her corrupt colleagues on both sides of the aisle in Congress join her soon.

Yeah, well that site definitely is not free press like it advertises. Everything about it is biased, including its advertisements, like a woman wearing a t-shirt that says 're-defeat communism' over a crossed out picture of Hillary Clinton. I think you should get your news from a better source.

Good that this came out and she resigned. And it's despicable. I hate politicians who can't see the conflict in these set-ups.

That said, this situation doesn't compare with Ney and Cunningham, which were bribery cases.
