I'm going to go against the popular opinion and say that yes, the Cowboys do have a realistic chance to win the Super Bowl this year. Here's why.
First off: They must win the division.
Philadelphia lost a key factor in Jeff Garcia. Now If McNabb gets hurt, there isnt anyone (Kelly Holcomb?) that can carry the team the way Garcia did.
The Giants decided to stick with Eli Manning as QB. He is the most inconsistent QB in all of football. The team hated each other at the end of the year, and I don't see things getting much better for them.
And the Redskins are the Redskins.
Dallas gets the division.
The NFC talent just isn't there. The Bears may have it in them again, but when they play Dallas in the regular season next year, we will see who the dominant force in the NFC is.
My pick to go up against Dallas in the Super Bowl is New England. They have made some huge acquisitions as of late in Adalius Thomas and Donte Stallworth. They will be a good team, but Dallas has a chance to beat them and win the Super Bowl. Also, read the question "Who will win?" on the list, and you will see that I am not alone on this.

Wade Phillips is a proven disaster as a head coach. If he tries to take the reigns from a talented offensive coordinator like he's done evrywhere else he's been a head coach, then the Cowboys only go 8-8 and probably miss the playoffs. If he can be a head coach that stick to what he knows - defense - Dallas will contend for the NFC East title. As far as winning the superbowl - no. An AFC team will win it all. Fact is that the NFC just doesn't have the talent or the coaching to compete with the AFC right now.

Not a chance to even get to the playoffs. Romo and the offense has to learn a new system from a new coach. The defense couldn't cover a twin bed with a king size sheet. Plus a lot of NFC teams are improving their roster while Dallas wonders if the best offensive weapon they have (Barber) will even be heathly with his shoulder. This and we haven't even seen how T O (Truly Overated) will act out this season with a new coach.

I don't. As long as they have T.O. on that team, they won't win it. He's poison to any team. This is going to be his second season with them, right ? Historically, the second season is when he really starts to act the fool. Don't believe me ? Ask any Eagles or 49'ers fan. Ask Jeff Garcia. Ask Donovan McNabb. I dig Tony Romo, and i think he will be a beast as he develops. If they get rid of T.O. after this season, Romo continues to grow as a player, and they get someone else in as WR, i'd give Dallas 2-3 years to go the the Superbowl.

I don't think they do this year. Romo is a new quarterback and he was put in the spotlight to much to fast and we saw that when he fumbled a snap in the playoff game. Plus you have a new coach I think you'll do fine but I don't see them going back to superbowl 42!

They have a shot to win the NFC East if the entire Philadelphia Eagles team suddenly gets abducted by aliens. Their chances end there.

You have a decent shot, everybody does really. HOWEVER, you have a lot of work to do before you get there. You have a good QB in Romo, if he can just calm down and deliver the ball accurately to his recievers, and stretch the field to where he uses ALL of his WR's you should have a decent shot. From when I watched your D play, they seemed really decent, so if you work out all of the kinks that happened last year you guys DEFINATELY will go! Win...well thats another story but its possible!! Good luck this season!

Nope. In order for them to win, TO needs to play like Terry Glenn--good and be a teamplayer, the defense needs to play like the 'Boys of the 90's, and Romo needs to prove that he is legit and not a one year wonder like Rothlesberger.
