Of course. It is the NHL. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night. If the Islanders put in their best effort, and Buffalo does not, then the Islanders could easily win. Don't forget that the Islanders already beat Buffalo once this year in January, though they lost the other two games they played. Losing DiPietro makes it difficult, but they definitely have a chance.
That said, if Buffalo plays at their very best, it would take a lot of luck for the Islanders to pull it off. Overall, the Sabres have a better team. That might make a difference in a 7-game series, but it doesn't mean anything tomorrow night. Anything could happen.

I'd say they have a chance. Every team has a chance - take a look at Florida winning in a shootout over Atlanta last night. You should also take into account that the Sabres have had a fair amount of injuries. And finally, they just played a very hard matchup against the Devils, so perhaps some of that wear and tear will play against them. Only time will tell.

I think as long as Buffalo holds strong NY doesnt have a chance. They are a much better team, however Hockey is Hockey and sometimes there are games you think will be easy for a team and they lose 10-2.

no..even if DP is in goal. the sabres picked apart the devils which is very hard to do. so i'm sure they'll slaughter the isles. but you never know. the sabres may have a meltdown or something(unlikely)

Any team has a chance but I don't think the Isles will capitalize on that chance.

the Isles most certainly have a chance but the loss of their goalie Di Pietro have definitely hurt them in that game and in the playoff race.....LEAFS RULE!!!

well they play pretty bad hockey when DiPietro is out of the line up and hes still on the day to day basis. so i don't think they can without DiPietro in nets.
