No.

I was wondering who told you that the universe had an "edge."
That person is most certainly wrong. There is no finite, identifiable, or locatable point, line, or dimension that is the end. Ask your friend or associate who told you this fabrication to give you the exact coordinates of this supposed edge. He or she will be unable to do so, and then concoct some silly reason for that failure to produce the requested information.

What we do know is that we, here on Earth, are at the center of an observable sphere with a radius of 40 Billion Light Years in all directions. An observable sphere...what's that? That is, we can observe things out as far as 40 Billion Light Years and that is the limit of our equipment to "see" any farther. Our very best equipment cannot see any farther than that. However, that by no means puts a limit on space at 40 Billion LY. It just says I dunno what's out there because I cannot see out any farther than that with anything that I have at my disposal.

40 Billion Light Years... That is a heck of a distance. Try and relate it to any actual distance with which you are remotely familiar. I bet you can't. I know that I CAN'T.

Yes! it really makes me think...We see the earth as a sphere right? well, the earth (many many years ago) was thought to be flat. Well I don't know if this is true, but, our universe could be similar to that. Our universe could be a ginormous sphere of gas, and if we travelled to the end, we would be back at the start again. well, maybe we have to travel in a different dimension or something to get out of the universe, we could see whats on the other side. But i wouldn't know that lol, im not that clever. i guess we will never know! x

Space is time less it looks the same all over it's like a road if you can see the end of it it's all going to look the same apart from the thing that exist with the road. The only things that make it look different is what matter exists with the nothing-ness.

It has no edge. Finite or infinite, it is unbounded. As for what's beyond it? Maybe nothing, maybe an infinite number of similar universes. Maybe something in between.

a very good question, you have vision.
i don,t think man will ever know as it may go on to infinity.
some theorists think it bends back on its self.
astronomers say galaxies further out are moving even at a faster rate outwards.the mind boggles at that.

We have all heard of the big theory (i hope) so what was there b4
And were did all the matter come from. Just thought i would throw that in

I have thought of this. I figure if you travel far enough in space you end up where you start.

Black, as there are no light sources beyond the edge.
The closest comparison is the event horizon of a black hole, which is also black.

you can only see as far as your eye lets you see so you will never know what is beyond that, even if it was possible xx
