Usally that means you have a pixel on the screen that went bad and is preventing the rest of that line from being refreshed. The cost to repair would be more than the cost of replacing the monitor. So get a new monitor.

Try to degauss the monitor. It's usually in the menu or a very small (meaning tiny/paper clip diameter sized) button on the front of the monitor.

If that doesn't work, did you move anything close to the monitor today? Like maybe a pair of speakers or a magnet or something electronic? If so, move them a few inches further away.

put ur monitor on a lower resolution and 16 bit color depth to check if it's the monitor or the video card...
