i went to the doc went to the er and they all say it's stomach flu.But this has been goign on for 4 days now. And over all he doesn't seem uncomftrable,he eats fine, but as soon a you pic him up put him on your shoulder burp him,he thows up. I would this if it wasa stomach flu he would be uncomftrable as soon as the food hit his stomach. I though of reflux, but he never had that why would it start now. What could this be? His stomach growls alot as well. Doctor mentioned stenosis, but how likely is it that he just developed it? he is not dehydratin, but you can tell he is in pain when throwing up

I believe reflux can show up at any time. As far as Pyoric Stenosis goes, this is about the age where that would show up, too, and its usually boys who have it. Take these concerns seriously, if symptoms go away within the next 24 hours-great!- if not then be sure to find out what's wrong. Both of these conditions can be serious for a baby so young.

Pyloric stenosis is probable, it usually appears in baby boys around 2 to 4 months old. My son had to have his surgery to correct this condition when he was 2 mos. old, and he's 27 years old now and never again had stomach problems. It happens when the muscle that allows food to go into the stomach hardens and therefore it does not allow food to pass through to the stomach. Maybe you should take the baby to a gastroentherologist (pediatric) because he can get dehydrated. God Bless your child, hope everything goes well.

It sounds like reflux, which can start at anytime in the first year.
Sit him up when he eats and for at least 10min after he eats.
Give him Mylicon drops before each feeding and burp him well.
Also if he does it alot and has a slight fever he may have rotovirus which is going around big time right now. My daughter just got her 2nd oral vax for it and still caught it....her only symptom was a slight fever and vomitting.

the stomach virus can last for 3-21 days. make sure you continue to give the baby breast milk as often as possible. you can supplement the fluid intake with Pedialyte because you need to be careful and not let the baby become dehydrated. if he's not better in a week, follow up with the pediatrician. always wash hands before touching the baby.

Wow. That's scary. Breastfeeding saved my son from getting a violent stomach bug when everyone else in the house was miserably sick. I even had to take my 2 yr old to the ER for dehydration. But my son stayed happy and healthy at 3 months of age, thanks to the antibodies in breastmilk. Are you breastfeeding?

My 4 month old son developed acid reflux and it sounds from what you described exactly like it. i would have the ped. check him out if it is reflux then they'll probably put him on meds depending on the severity. With my son it was a life saver!

my family passed around some sort of stomach flu during the fall. my son got it the worst of all of us and he was about a year old them. he threw up everything for about a week and you could tell that he really didn't feel good. try switching him to soy formula or something. anything is worth a try.
