I really loved the 9th Doctor Christopher Eccleston. Before the new show came out my favorite was the Second played by Patrick Troughton. If they made a movie, I think Ewan McGreggor would make a good doctor, or maybe Patrick Stewart. I heard once that David Bowie had been approached to take on a Doctor Who role and I thought he would've made an excellent doctor as well....hmmm good question! ☺

William Hartnell was my favourite - the original and the best (showing my age).
If a movie were made, I would be dissapointed if the Doctor was anybody other than the current actor playing it on TV. So if it was being made now it would have to be David Tennant.

David Tennant is my favourite Doctor Who. He'd look fab on the big screens but the American audience would probably want a Holywood actor. They'd probably have Samuel L or Kevin Spacey as the Doc - it would still be watchable and I'd still go and see it but David would be outstanding !!! Maybe they could have a big US starlet as his companion.

Tom Baker was my favourite, although I love Pertwee and Hartnell almost as much. I always thought David Bowie would make a great Doctor.

Seems to me that everything David Tennant does is brilliant. He's a great Doctor and he should be the one for Hollywood.

I just started watching again and like David Tennant.but to me Tom baker was one of the best.I like christopher eccleston in heroes.
David Tennant in a movie though.

Without a doubt David Tennant. I've developed quite a little crush on him too. He's wonderful, I didn't give a toss about Dr Who before he joined the show and I will watch it now til he leaves.

Tom Baker was my favorite.To make a movie now I'd say the first doctor on the new series I think it's Eccleston and Billie Piper too!

Tom Baker was my favourite but I really like David Tennant. in a new movie, I would say David Walliams! He'd be good!
