I take Clomid 50mg. for 5-9 days of my period,on day 16 after my period I take a ovulation test and the test was positive that night me and my hubby had sex and the next day I took another ovulation test and it came up negative.What does that mean?

When you have a positive ovulation test it means you will ovulate in the next 12-48 hours with about 36hours being most common. Women typically get 1 pos. ovulation test per month and usually on the day before ovulation. You most likely ovulated on CD17 and your period should be due 14 days later or about CD 32. If you don't have your period by CD 36 then take a home pregnancy test. Good luck and baby dust!

My guess would be that you tested at the end of your ovulation and your surge was lower the next day so you did not get a positive. If you had sex the night you got a Positive then that is good. You can always have sex the nights leading up to ovulation so the swimmers can get a jump on things :)

You only ovulate on one specific day. The purpose of an ovulation kit is to predict when you might ovulate. You could have ovulated on the day you tood the test and the next day the LH surge would have been gone. No worries. Wait 2-3 weeks and take a pg test. Good Luck!
