What is the best format to load audio files.?

and embedded them in website. I’m trying to make them play immediatly after clicking play in the website

I would stick with .mp3 and would stay away from all the others. I've done the same thing you are attempting with pleasing results. You might also consider preloading the audio file as well.

Highest compression means quickest load, so try .mp3 or .wma

DO NOT use .wav. This is almost not a compression... so it'll be a LARGE file.
