It's too bad the liberals can't grasp onto the notion that socialism and liberalism is not the same idealism. Being a liberal does not require a person to be a socialist.
Being a socialist, however, does require a person to be a liberal. Just as the Republican party should purge itself of social conservatives, the Democratic party should purge itself pirates who want to consume the wealth of America.

Liberals could very well designs programs aimed providing opportunity for the poor to lift themselves out of poverty without creating entitlement programs. Socialism never creates wealth. It only consumes it. Socialism never eliminates poverty. It perpetuates it.
