anyway, to answer your question, it's not totally insane. You would be amazed at what is generally accepted nowadays. As long as you keep it in the right context and don't get attached to your mannequin like it's a real person.

I wonder if people every ask your manequin for directions when they're lost. It's illegal where I live to drive with a manequin in your car. Of course I know a few guys that do it to drive in the HOV lane.

Yes, if you were doing this so that you could drive on the express lane for car poolers I might let it go but that is just weird.
