I think that it is, but only because makes them vulnerable to perverts and predators that either want to talk dirty to children or try to meet with them.
It is nice for children to be able to meet other children from different places and learn new things but as it is right now, Myspace nothing but Amber Alerts just waiting to happen.
It would be nice if there was a forum exclusively for children and closely monitored to keep the perverts and predators out.

I can not think of anything worse for children of today.
Children are learning to grow up and be far to dependent on technology for entertainment. We always used to go out with my friends, now all plans are made over email and instant messenger.
Granted myspace is a good way to met lots of friends, make new ones and remain in contact with old ones.
However Myspace is an addictive habit. Children go to school thinking it is ok to bunk of lessons to check their myspace.
Myspace is full of:
Hackers
Spammers
Bad Downloads
Perverts
Key logging tools
Not to main a few other aspects.
Yes Myspace is a terrible site.

its not neccisarly a bad thing because, 1 there are thousands of other sites doing the same thing, 2 myspace has been helpfull in catching criminals and 3 as long as you dont display personal information its just a fun thing
