People who are full of hate have had hurtfull things happen to them, or have been let down by people over and over. This come with age. It's why we see so many bitter, angry elderly people. The sad fact of life is that most people will screw you if given a chance, and most people don't really care about anyone else. Staying positive is difficult, but it is worth it, becuase life is much more pleasant when you are happy and positive.

"prejudice" is the word.
getting to know someone beyond first impressions takes time. In most cases, that time isn't available, so you need a really fast judging "algorithm":
-you hold a "dictionary" in mind ("stereotypes") that works fine, most of the times
-once you meet someone you don't know, you get a 1st impression that you look up in the book
-and the book says ".. ooops! - hate that person!".
well, it doesn't say "hate" or "don't hate" but the organization of that dictionary can include previous experience data too!
so, if someone was in page 4 paragraph 25 and has done somthing hostile, the other people in that paragraph (and the ones to be added in it) will be treated with ..so much love!!

If it works once, you don't have to change the book.
and you save the time to have a proper lunch

Very very good question! Superb. I agree with you. I still seek for this answer actually. I think this happens because people are shallow, full of self-righteousness and only look from the surface. They judge others only from the 'outer part' or first impressions because they think they know the others well due to their own self-righteousness and their lack of knowledge. They think they know you in and out but basically they know nothing about others. Nothing. The more you know the more you realize you don't know anything. But human's self righteousness always rules 'I know about everything!! I know. I know. I know. oh I know. I do know. I know.... I always know..... and I will always KNOW'. While basically you really know nothing about others. Nothing. Really.
It's always been such a great pleasure for every human being on this planet to judge other people ONLY BASE FROM WHAT THEY SEE AND FEEL ABOUT THEM, and never by the reality and the truth of them. But that's certainly an emotional sickness that widely spreads in every world society already. It's endlessly entertaining for me. How people grab on the things. And turning inside out and endlessly scrutinizing the others. Make the meaning they way they want to make the meaning. It's funny to see how people easily analyze others base on their own personal ignorant understandings. In a way it's also great because they derived their own meanings from their own personal perceptions and thoughts. I just sometimes laugh cuz I never thought for a second that people would interpret the others easily and lightly without knowing any knowledge and truth from others at all. Very funny.

I know that some people believe that if one person out of a group of a certain ethinticity group does something bad to you....they think that everyone of that ethinticity is gonna be that way. Or they go by what other people think, you stereotype and it's not right because people shouldn't be judged just because you may have had a bad experience.

All of us are prone to be uncomfortable with the unknown. This often applies to cultures with which we are not familiar. The person may dress differently, have a different skin color, eye shape, etc. They may not speak your language, have customs that are strange to you, eat unfamiliar food or have unknown religious ceremonies. People often react with dislike to those who are "different". Even small children, when given a new food, will say they don't like it when in fact, they've never tried it.

Usually because that person does something the other person doesn't like. It doesn't matter if it's something totally silly, that person just builds up so much fury and hate for that person.

I think there has to be some envy or jealousy involved. Perhaps, the person may be nicer looking, have more money and advantages or be more popular.

They probably have something that this individual does not possess and feels they never will, therefore, they feel hatred.

People tend to hate things in others that they hate in themselves. People who have lives that suck, just want to make it tough on others so they can feel good
