a fetus (especially at 11 weeks) doesn't poop.

At this stage they are receiving all the nutrients their body needs through the umbilical cord...not through their digestive system.

However, while in womb the baby does swallow a bit of amniotic fluid as well as mucus and lanugo. This is stored in the baby's intestines and is referred to as "meconium." After the child is born...this meconium is their first "poop" and it is normally dark green/black.

5-20% of babies WILL pass their meconium while in the womb. However, this is normally caused by fetal stress during labor or delivery...or from passing the due date.

They don't poop silly! LOL They do, however, pee. About the 13th week is when Baby starts urinating and it mixes w/ the amniotic fluid... Yum, huh? Not really. Born babys poo, fetus' don't.

Babies do not poop in the womb. They will produce marconium which is a liquidy black/green substance that will be their first bowel movement after birth.
Towards the end of the pregnancy/labor it is possible for the baby to pass it in the womb if it is in distress, which if ingested can cause harm to the baby.

actually they do not have poop till birth and the amniotic fluid is actually breathed in by the baby (helps develop lungs) and then they pee it out (sterile tough ) this doen't harm the baby that is why they tell you to drink a lot of water.
