Yes, but I was lucky and it was only about $20,000. I'm still trying to figure out if it was worth it or not. I still hold out hope that it was.

yeah. not too bad. i'll stop paying in 2011, i got $4,000 left to go. started at $6,088. and that's cuz i only pay $60 a month. i could pay more, but i need that money for other bills. i will get rid of the debt sooner than that yr. though for sure.
third question: it was worth it i guess for about 3 yrs. since i did what i went to school for, but now i'm in something totally opposite and don't know if i will ever go back to what i was doing. got boring.

Hell yes, $30K. It was worth it because I make more now, even after paying the monthly loan payment, than I would have without the degree.

It's a necessity of life, unfortunately.

Oh yes...I owe $58,000 and my payments were 'not large enough' so they are garnishing my net pay at 15% per paycheck.

I am not sorry I got an education, but I am sorry that I took all those loans. I was supporting a husband with them and that was a BIG mistake. Now I dumped his worthless *ss, but will be paying for it forever.

$3000.00 in 1974

It seemed insurmountable at that time, but it was worth every penny.
