I am looking for an instrumental, trumpet lead from the 1970's. It was almost as popular Mangione's "Feels So Good".... This song was used in many "movie of the week" intros from the era and I cant figure out who did it. The melody is something like, DUH DUH DUH DUH DUUUUUH.... DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH...It's very slow and melodic. It's just trumpet, drum and bass. Any help?

Are you talking about the Herb Alpert/Tijuana Brass song called "Rise"?

I can't tell what song that is, but Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass were popular then. he plays trumpet.
