By imported, I mean cars that have been made abroad but are sold in the UK.

Imported cars are usually costlier than home-made cars because the government has protective tariffs on the imported goods to protect UK businesses from outside companies. This makes the imported cars costlier.

a few specialist ,low quantity people like Morgan still exist

You can get real bargains in restored cars, like a Morris 1000.

Otherwise, double spaces and repeat yourself may make it look more.

Imported cars can be cheeper but usually have different safety standards.

Parts are more expensive due to shipping charges and servicing is usually more.
