The opossum because they not only feed their young, they feed everything else in the area that's not big enough to scare them(ie. rats, mice, ticks, Tom Green, etc.).

The number of nipples usually has to do not only with typical litter size but also with expected survival rate. Thus horses and humans have 2 nipples, cats and dogs have 8 and 10 respectively.
Of commonly-seen animals, pigs have the most, averaging around 12 or 14. Of animals you've heard of, opossums have the most, having as many as 19. Of animals you've never heard of, the tenrec (also called the tailless ground-hog) has the most, with as many as 24.
And of course certain unusual individuals of each species have 'supernumerary nipples' over and above the normal amount as well!
