Guiliani would certainly inspire the nation to once again come together for our greater good, perhaps exactly what America needs. Whether Guiliani has the experience to actually run the country, bring us out of a war, avoid the possible new threats by Iran and North Korea, that is a different matter. New York doesn't have the enemies that America has accumulated the past couple years.

I think Rudy would be an adequate president, his behavior after 911 was admirable. At the very least he would be better than the current comander in cheif, but then a monkey could do that!
I am a liberal, but Rudy has some good points and seems able to go against his party on some issues which would make him appealing to independants, and I think that is what is needed to bring this country together right now.
He is not of course my first choice, but I think I would at least have some respect for him.

In short, no. While he deserves kudos for the achievements of his mayoral administration, he also deserves criticism for his absolute lack of diplomatic instincts. Bush has demonstrated disastrously that "my way or the highway" does not work in debates with either Congress or the international community. If Giuliani cannot get along with his family or his fellow New York politicians, how will he get along with Senators, Representatives, or foreign leaders? At least Bush can somewhat compensate for his disastrous policy by being a personable back-slapper/shoulder-massager. Giuliani reacts with profanity filled tirades. Not helpful at all.
There are ways to be strong and tough without alienating everyone. Because Giuliani does not have the capacity to do so, he will not make a good president.

No. I'm from NYC and KNOW this man. Unlike the rest of America which only knows his 9/11 "American's Mayor" traveling pimp show.
He's really a nasty S.O.B. And that will all come out in the near future.
He would make a great prosecutor, security guard, or prison warden, but a lousy president.

Better than any of the Democrat candidates. But here's hoping for a truly inspiring Republican candidate, because Mitt, Rudy and John aren't that inspiring.

He's better than most of the dems (except maybe, Richardson).
Since he could handle the largest American city as the chief executive, he can probably handle the white house.

If it had to be a Republican, I'd say Giuliani would be pretty good. I don't agree with all of his views, especially gun control (he's PRO-gun control !!!), but he's not a psycho like the current clown troupe. He would be immeasurably better than the g0dd@mn chimpanzee we have now.
