do the stars really amount to anything, or is this just a goal people have set for themselves?

I've check on the point system and it doesn't mention stars at all, don't know if they actually have any value at all.
Must just be an ego stroke.

its a good game to see how many stars you can get in one Q!I might try it,is that childish??
actually I would rather just be given stars,they have more ''value ''then.
interesting that people are not slow in giving them out.
