While Mayor, Guliani stated he is against banning partial-birth abortions and that he didn't see his position on that changing. Giuliani also told The Albany Times Union that he would not support a ban on late-term abortions.[6] More recently, he has shifted his position on partial-birth abortion slightly to agree with the new ban, but only as long as there is a provision for the life of the mother.[citation needed] Giuliani also supports parental notification in the case of child abortions so long as there is a judicial bypass option.[citation needed]
In a February 2007 interview with Sean Hannity, Giuliani said, "I hate [abortion] ... However, I believe in a woman's right to choose."[7] Regarding Roe v. Wade, Giuliani recognizes that the case has been on the books for some time and has precedence, but as to whether to overrule it or limit it: "That's up to the court to decide."[7]

He believes that Roe will be limited but not completely overturned, and ultimately, regulation of the issue should be left for the state to decide.

This is the one issue on which Giuliani loses the respect of the right. I heard some hard-line Republican on Hannity one day babbling about this. He acted like abortion was the end-all, be-all issue on which to decide the upcoming election.

Speaking of which Giuliani has so many skeletons in his closet that their is no way he should be considered for the president's office. Knowing that the last few years have left Americans seeking change Giuliani will just be more of the same thing. Just consider that Giuliani is a known adulterer something that the republican party has in the past found so reprehensible; in addition, his personal decisions can at the most favorable, be considered dubious. The latest finding against Giuliani is that he hired as commissioner of the country's largest police force Ben Kerik, even though he knew beforehand that the man had links to a company connected to organized crime. Adding to this is that until testimony he gave in the year 2000 was found he denied ever knowing that his police commissioner and friend had relations with this company. So, that being said do we really want a man of such poor judgment and low morals in our highest office

Although cliche, he is definitely riding the fence on this issue. His stance on crime and the ability to cut taxes while the mayor of New York support Republican tendencies, but not seeing abortion as a wrongful action makes me see him as a Independent rather than a true Republican.

I think if Guiliani were God-emperor, he'd outright ban abortion. However, he isn't, and won't be. His stance is reasonable, the people have to decide if they want their society to be a bunch of barbaric baby-killers in the name of having sex for pleasure. Rich to choose my ***, is having sex not a choice?

I am against abortion for any reason, so Giuliani would not be getting my vote.
Baby killing is a big issue to me.

Conservitism is what it is. We can't keep redefining it to fit the canidate. And say, "Well close enough"
Example...Bush, Rudy, McCain, Nixon
Rudy would never get my vote and I don't think he'd get the nomination anyway
