Say what you will but the goverment has one command in chief. And he doesn't reside on capital hill. Congress has no place interfereing in a war. They need to hush and give money to our troops. That SHOULD be priority. This is why democrats should never have been put in office. They are ignorant liberals who do not know what is more important thant what. Their priorities are beating PRESIDENT Bush instead of taking care of our soldiers. There is nothing worse than an american who refers to our PRESIDENT by his name. If that crazy nazi Hillary gets elected i'll called her President Clinton. Because thats just how it works. Liberals are the masters of two sided coin. One for them and one for everyone else. But you watch if a democrat gets elected they will ***** all day about the president not being called, "Mr or Mrs. President." Democrats got elected into congress to make a difference and they are they are going to play politics with the money for our soliders. Good difference!!

They are playing politics. I've said many times, they don't give a rat's *** about the troops or the USA, they just want Bush to fail.

Because the alternative is to disband Congress and make them just another department under Bush's supreme control.

That's all Bush will accept -- his way or nothing. And Bush needs to be slapped down hard and reminded that the Constitution created three co-equal branches of government, not just one.

The troops lives are not in any danger if they are brought home. Bush just refuses to even consider anything other than absolute power. So, Bush is the one bringing this to a head -- Congress is doing what the Constitution allows and requires.

Because Bush is doing the same thing!!! Do you not think its politics when a funding bill passes in Congress and Bush is going to veto it!? That is complete politics in its finest form. Yes, both sides are playing politics, but when a funding bill comes through and Bush is saying the Democrats DONT support funding the troops, thats politics. The Democrats want to fund the troops as much as is necessary, but on top of that they want to get the troops out.

All they did was set a timeline for withdrawal. It is up to Bush. If he vetoes the funding bill, it is not Congress' fault. The people of America do not support an open-ended civil war. Good for you, Congress. The bill gives the Iraqis a year to get their sh* t straight. Do you think that the Iraqis should not be held accountable for their own country?

The problem is two fold

A: we have a president who thinks he can do no wrong

B: we have a congress that unable to put a check on the president because both houses are filled with greedy politicians who only look out for number 1. And number 1 isn't you, you're not even number 2.

Not true.

Why is Bush using the lives of soldiers to boost his super ego? Why did Bush not listen to the generals, in the beginning, to send more troops? Why is Cheney making a mint from the death of US soldiers? Why did Rumsfailed disband the ENTIRE Iraqi army? Why did Bush knowingly use a forged document to scare Americans into sending soldiers to die?

did you sleep through last november? we had an election and the majority of the public voted bring the iraq war to an end. the politicians are doing what the public wanted.

as for poker chips, bush started the game in iraq, he set the stakes, the democrats are just playing the hand that they were dealt.

It's not just congress, it's the executive branch as well. There are other alternatives, just that the executive branch doesn't want to consider them. BTW, this is nothing new. It's happened before.

It is not so mush congress as you think. If the president does NOT veto the bill, the troops will get 122bil- 124bil, funds released for April.
