Truetype and PostScript Font?

Question

hi, i like to know what's the different between windows true type and windows postscript?

for example "Gill Sans Bold Condensed" & "Gill Sans MT Condensed Bold"

the one is postscript and the other is windows truetype, are the two different from each other?
