it just disturbs me how many girls look like hookers and there in jrs and sr high!!!

I wonder the same thing. Either they have bad role models, or they're so desperate to get guys that they think they need to dress this way.

I think that subconsciously they are not wanting to look like hookers but it is something else. I believe that it is an order of acceptance among peers and especially the fellas. I mean come on, when you see a woman half naked or certain parts revealed it makes your mind wonder. It is in that attention that they are wishing to recieve. The female body is extremely gorgeous no doubt. I feel that women feel that they have to lower the level of respect for themselves in order to get the attention that they desire. Sometimes it is the wrong attention though. I read a recent survey and it stated that 1 out of every 4 women in college will be raped. The people that dress promiscuous are primarily in this age group. That is an awfully high number of women. They don't deserve to be raped just because they are dressed a certain way. Some guys look at the side that they don't and say,"They were asking for it!" Clothing can say more than we want it to. Women are already beautiful and oh, so sexy. They don't need to advertise help wanted because your advertising the already obvious, your hot. Us guys already know this, we always will, we need the weman more than we know. We should accept the female way just as desireable as they already are without pressure. The pressure of acceptance is focused on sex. If a man can't see how sexy, beautiful, smart, fun, gentile and enjoyable you are without trying to lure him, then he is not worth your time.

Some of that could be traced back to their parents - they have no control over any aspects of their children's lives, let alone their wardrobe. But I'm sure a lot of it is what they see their idols (i.e. Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, etc.) wear. This is what's sold in most stores. But really, the parents should be monitoring what their kids wear, as well as instilling some sort of values in their children.

Usually to get attention from guys. Check out the way some of their Mom's dress & you'll see where they get it from. Its really sad that they think they have to dress like that to get a man. They might get a man but not someone you would want to take home to Daddy!

Because they think that men are actually attracted to that....Some are....but those aren't the men you could take home to your parents or have a serious relationship with. There's a difference between sexy and classy, and just lookin nasty. When will people learn??

they think it will make them more popular & attract the attention of the guys, just like the younger guys think wearing baggy pants & hoodies will make them fit in & attract the girls...

Well, what school do u go too. Cuz it really depends on what school u go too and if the gurls there are known to be EASY so yeah and plus its somtimes ok cuz gurls i guess wana feel sexy!!!!!!

well that's not true for all girls.mostly the main is because they think guys will like them which is true but only for one thing and they think its cute which isn't

They want attention, especially from older guys.
It is pretty sad that they have to resort to that.
