My hubby and I were fed up with non-responsive answers from our kids, such as "because, I dont know, blank stares, etc."

So we sat them down and had a talk. We told them that "because" is NEVER an answer and to answer our questions the right way.

Immediately, one looked at us and said, "But why?"

We answered:

BECAUSE!

I don't remember. I'm sure it was an answer from my Mom - who was raising 4 kids and just didn't have time to discuss the reason with me right then.

Personally - I don't care for the word "Why?" It puts people on the defensive. I try very hard not to use it. And sometimes - when somebody asks me "Why?" - my response is "Why not?" Let them defend themselves - I don't feel like it.

Why am I reading such stupid questions all the time?

Because humanity as we know it is falling apart.
