I went to stay with my daughter who is 14 years old and lives in another state. My ex-husband had moved due to job reasons. His mother was helping to take care of her.

I left because I could not adjust to the constant interference from my ex and his mother.

Now, he is saying the I stole things from the house and the he will take drastic actions to get the things that I know I did not take back from me. He also says that I created bitterness in them and let them down. He says that my daughter never wants to see me again for the rest of her life. He says that I have ruined my daughter and her grades are bad for the time when I was there.

My parents are telling me to focus on myself and look into finding a companion, take a class and improve myself. I am not able to because I feel so guilty for hurting them and especially my child. He has not followed the visitation rules in the past though per the court order.

Partly listen to the advice of your parents and try to move on, but partly seek advice from a professional or community advice on family matters on what to do from the legal point of view.

All the best!/

I think you should fight for your visitation rights. You have to stop him from filling your daughter with so much hate against you. I also think you should listen to your parents and improve yourself. Don't let this jerk mess up everything thing in your life. Do something for yourself!
