With all the fighting going on between both political parties, dose it anger you that nothing to benifit the citizins of our country is getting done. As the demacrates had said before they were elected back into office, they had a 100 day agenda, and they have done nothing to advance what they promised, yet day after day they are hammering on the present adminastration, and constently nit picking, and this adminastration is constently on the defense, they aren't getting anything done ether.

To be honest I'm very tempted to vote for an independent (or an independent running as a republican) in the next election. There ought to be clear guidelines of what different parties stand for and if a guy breaks with party lines, then it should count against him. I think this would create a system with more parties to choose from, where people would actually vote for the people in the party they believe is closest to what they think is right. It would be nice if we could judge people individually, but the fact is that it is extremely time consuming to figure out exactly what each person is likely to do.
I'm noticing that even people who have strong beliefs about certain things, when they run a campaign as a democrat/republican, they tend to end up all watered down. I want someone who says what they plan to do and does what they say. Anyone who says one thing and votes different, is a traitor in my book.
I'm not a Bush basher, but I think that he lost a lot of his backbone by compromising with the liberals.
If no other person stands up to call evil by its name by the next election, I'll probably vote for someone like Ron Paul.
I'm tired of voting for the "lesser evil".

I do not feel any faith in our political system any more , I have learned lies and broken promise and really do not care to vote any more because I have not seen anyone worthy , I did not ever vote for Bush and there he is , I am sure my one vote would not have mattered , Look what happen in Fl because he was losing , So I am not sure , but I am sure of one thing They need get things in Order and get things right and bring faith back to those who have lost it and to those around the world , we are really starting too look like a bunch of fools over here , as I have been outside USA and found out what most are thinking , it is not good ,,So our political party is voice of all Americans , are you like this , Most likely no , so why should the political party be? ON either side ?

I feel that Andrew should stop picking on people and start acting like a grown up. Don't listen to what he has to say about your spelling. If you read my previous question about me having problems with unruly kids in my neighbourhood, you'll see that he hasn't a clue about life. He said that it's ok for children who are three years old (barely out of nappies), to be wandering around the streets unsupervised!! He also thinks that it is ok for people to go into other people's gardens, get mud on their clothes which are hanging out to dry and kill their plants. He also made a rude remark saying that I should get a tumble drier instead of hanging my clothes out to dry! Well, unless he'd like to buy one for me and pay for the extra electricity it costs to run it, then that's not going to happen. Never mind the fact that it's quicker to dry clothes on a line when the weather's good, plus the damage they cause for the environment. I actually care about other people and his rudeness is totally uncalled for.

With regards to the question, many people may share your views on this matter. Trouble is, that once somebody has power it's not always used as originally presented. This happens in all areas of life. We all get let down every now and then, by governments, schools, health professionals, friends, even family! The governments set the rules and Jo public just go along for the ride. I also find that the mistakes of one in power can reflect badly on the whole country. Andrew's all up for war, he admitted that in a previous question. I however, am among a great many people who simply want to get on with life (in peace and with respect for others). It amazes me that there is so much hatred between nations because of the big shots, the minority! When the UK joined in with the problems in Iraq there were protests left, right and centre. Most of the public were against it, but it accounted for nought. I don't feel that the citizens have enough say in what goes on, and that annoys me. Instead of bickering about it between themselves, why don't they ask the opinions of the people who it affects instead? After all, isn't that what the government is for? For doing the right thing for their country and the citizens who inhabit it? No two people with ever agree on absolutely everything, so if that's what they're trying to achieve then good luck to them. I think it may well take longer than the previously suggested 100 days though.

establishing a deadline for Iraq to assume full responsibility for their own security is a fairly big thing. If Iraq can't rise to the occasion after this long, plus one more year, then they never will and I'm not in favor of babysitting them forever. If what they have isn't worth fighting for then they will get what comes. It's not about terrorism or telling our enemies how long to wait. Iraq can muster just as formidable defense for themselves as we can give them and if they do then any terrorist effort will have to deal with them. We are not staking out a defenseless sheep for the wolves. According to GWB we invaded Iraq because of the huge threat they posed. If they were a threat to us then can't they also be a threat to Al Quaeda?

The only way to truly fix this is to flush all the incumbants out, and bring in fresh blood.

Then the politicians know that their futures rest on voters.

Problem is, so few people actually vote, and those that do, many of them just vote for whoever is in office.

This is why the problem has become so deep.

It makes me feel deflated. I wonder if I should have any more children because they will have to grow up in a terrible world full of lies, deception and hatred. Everyone is all talk, but no one moves an inch, or changes a thing. Oh, except daylight savings time. The big "energy crisis" fix... (sigh)

For those of us who think the National Government is a necessary evil, the least they do the better. Besides, career bureaucrats and lobbyists are in charge of your government.
