Moving to a new school in mid term can be a very difficult time. Being in your adolescence doubles the angst.
Introduce yourself to others in your classes early on. You may find a new friend very quickly. You may have many new friends by the end of the fist day as a matter of fact. Some you'll keep, some you wont. It all shakes out in a couple of months.
I remember the new kid to be very exciting when I was in school, and many folks always wanted to get to know this person. Be open to introductions. Don't be judgmental on first appearances, remember you don't know these people and first impressions aren't always what they seem.
Some schools assign "buddies" that help you get from class to class and introduce you to their friends. These buddies are typically members of the ASB or some other student representative body and have a friend base that typically is above average.
Good luck and keep in mind that more people will want to get to know you this first day than you think. Have fun with it.

No one has immediate friends when they go to a new place. True friendship takes time.
You can hurry this up by showing an interest in others. When you "talk" , listen. Ask open ended questions of people. This is a closed ended question: "When is our next class?"
This is an open ended question: "What do you think about the history teacher?"
When you meet someone, try hard to remember their name. People love to hear their name. You can do this by making silly associations in your mind. For example: You meet a guy named George. So you think in your mind that something about him reminds you of "George of the Jungle". You meet Karen and she seems like a "caring" person. You get the idea. Also, try to smile at people. Some are clods and they will snub you, but most will smile back and think you are friendly.
Good luck on your new adventure.

I understand how tough this is on you! I went through it at your age. Be positive and strong. Remember that others your age are very immature and may make fun of you just because you are new. Do not let that bother you if it happens. It takes time for people of all ages to accept someone new, so have faith that you will have friends before too long! Good luck to you, everything will be fine!

Be open and express your personality. And look around for people you think you'd get along with. Maybe start up a conversation with the person who sits next to you in History. It's all the simple things that can get someone to like you.

I think you should just be yourself and smile and try not to appear as if your scarred. Just spend tonight making sure your just as pretty as can be. Dress comfortable and don't carry too much in your book bag. Tomorrow just focus on getting to know your teachers and keep your mind on remembering how to get to your classes. You can also focus on making sure that your in the correct classes. Take notes in class so you can read them while sitting at the lunch table. That way you wont look like your afraid of you surroundings. Trust me, someone will introduce themselves. If they don't, when you notice someone who seems nice, introduce yourself.

Don't hang out with the nerds. If your into sports hang out with that crowd they get all the women. Also stay away from the stoner/white trash group unless you want to end up in jail.

cool down. no longer liking the dances would not advise you're nerdy or something. lots of folk do unlike them, for despite reason. one among my acquaintances hates the dances by way of fact in the time of the sluggish songs, a million/2 the girls flock to the bogs and start up crying. besides, the factor is, liking or no longer liking the dances would not make you weird and wonderful.
