Im not one yet but i really want to be one. Any advice on swimming or treading water or just tips on how to better my cardio would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Your living would be meager at best. The YMCA pays minimum unless you get your WSI or give swim lessons as well. The earlier shift (5am) pays more but you wouldn't be able to support a family on YMCA earnings alone.

I'm a lifeguard at a YMCA and definitely not. if you need advice on swimming and treading water id also recommend learning those first. If you want a part time job its fun and pretty well paid, depending where, but there's no career in it.
