I have a long sidewalk in front of our corner house and want to get an edger to handle the grass growing over it. The gas edgers look nice but they're expensive. I saw there were a couple different types of handheld shovel-type edgers that I can use manually . Are those worth it or should I just go ahead and get a gas edger?

if you have kept it up so far most weed whips have edger blade atachments you can get for them or you can do what i do and turn my whip at an angle to the concrete and walk along it every other time i whip the yard . as far as gas powered and easiest to use would have to be the little wonder edger it is small light weight and it has power! only down fall is they are a little on the expensive side . if you are a homowner who likes a good looking lawn and a nice edge between the grass and walkway buy an edger .
