Why do Americans depend upon the government to educate their children when it can't even get the mail right?

Good question. I think the children of America would be much better off if education was privatized and each family was given a certain amount of money to spend sending their child to the school of their choice.

I think another good question would be, Why would Americans want the government in charge of their heathcare, when the government cannot even take care of our veterans heathcare?
