The British should just apologize for tresspassing and pay all costs to Iran incidental to their action.

well, i don't think Tehran would be that stupid. but, then again... it's possible. yeah, they are releasing the woman.. but, if they really wanted to show good faith they'd just release them all. i dont' trust them. at all. even if they do release the sailors, i'm sure it was planned all along to show the world that they are a negotiable nation. which is b.s. but, i'd like to see Britain place a timetable on their return. don't let Iran bully the western world around. they are in no position to make demands of the world when the world has made demands of them and they have not cooperated. they're headed down a road that will bring about the end of Iran as they know it. (which is a good thing, i believe)

No, this same thing happened about 3 years ago and the sailors were released by Iran after 6 days. This is now the 6th day, so we'll see if they release them today. They will be released eventually though. It will take the order of the U.S. to start a military response to anything

This shows that the rest of the world should do whatever it takes to stop Iran getting nuclear weapons. Some people say 'We have them, so why shouldn't Iran?'. Well this whole situation tells you the answer to that question. Iran clearly can't be trusted and is willing to do and say anything. They are not behaving in a rational way.

As for the original question - I don't think it will come to blows. The pressure on Iran will finally make them release the hostages.

Iran and several other countries in the region have been playing "bad boy" for decades. And the history between Britain and Iran goes back centuries.

This is merely another political game, with each side being annoying to the other. Neither side is stupid enough to let it escalate into a war that will cripple both their countries.

This is why "I'm not the President or the U.K.'s PM"...
We know the problem.... Here's the solution...... First, make a polite call to Muckmood Amadickajohn... "tell him"... "Muckmood"..." you have 48 hours to return the sailors back to their boats in the exact spot where you kidnapped them from". "If you fail to comply...this IS what is going to take place"...... All of your seaports will be completely shut down my a Naval block-aid... nothing will sail in or out of your posts...nothing... if "they" are foolish enough to attempt to sail in or out... one of our Submarines will put the offending vessel to the bottom... Second...we will over-fly your Capitol City, Tehran from aircraft that are much to high for your to see, hear or shoot down...such as the B-1... we will begin to drop on Tehran... dead PIG's, PIG blood, PIG guts and PIG crap from all the processed Pork in the USA...(that's alot of crap baby)... you will have a 24 hours a day PIG shower... Mixed in with the PIG shower will be PIG blood smeared copy's of the Koran... After about a week, if you haven't return our sailors... well... we've got an even bigger surprise for you... so...get off your butt and return our sailors now.

Who's with me...? !!!!!!

It's too tense a situation to send troops, or even the SAS. They will sit it out for now and see what happens.

Fools rush in, and all that...

I don't think so. I thought they might at first, but they are releasing the woman to show good faith. They are disputing the issue, but I don't think this one is going to come to blows. They seem to want to negotiate.
