If there were just ONE thing (JUST ONE, please) which you could tell younger people (even, say, pre-teens?), and convince them, that would be helpful to them as they grow older (throughout their lives) - what would it be?

P.S. Mine would have been, consider, as soon as you can measure it, how long a year lasts, and how very brief it really is, and think, how many (or few) you're gonna get.

There is always the other side of the story
Think before you believe
What you see, hear, feel, taste
May not be the reality after all
Thus Think.

Be open to new ideas because that's the only way you'll grow as a person and the only way you can contribute.

Do not count on friends or family only yourself. That is the answer to your question. I would tell them to be tolerant, honest and host of other things, but those won't be "helpful".
