I have tried the troubleshooting procedures but nothing it suggested works. All my cables are plugged correctly, including the port to the hard drive. My printer screen says, that there is no connection to the computer. However, when I go to the control panel and click on printer and the status. The computer says the printer is ready. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Okay God bless you.

Unplug the USB cable from the computer. Uninstall the software using Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. Download the latest software from

Install the software, when it tells you to plug in the printer, plug it in, do not plug it in until it asks you to do so. The wizard should finish, and it should tell you that it has successfully installed the software. Reboot your computer and test the printer. This usually takes care of these kind of problems.
