i have to write a informative speech for class about somethind. i was thinking about writing it on steriods. i have had some personal experiance with the drug in my past, but should i go into that. is that a good idea?

Informative speeches are generally presentation of fact. If you were to use your own experience you would run the risk of turning it into a pursuasive speech.

Well you might want to do a speech about something that your class peers might be more interested in. Not everyone cares about steroids - the good or the bad side. But whatever you choose to write about make sure you have all of the facts concerning the subject. If you were sitting there listening to someone make a speech, what are some of the things that you would want to hear about. Good Luck!!

I disagree with the previous answer. If you have had experience with the drug in the past then you would be in a position of authority on the subject. It would be important to stick to the facts, but your personal experience would enhance your speech and make it far more interesting.
