It is horrible, unethical and disgusting. For those who may be for it, they need to go to animal experimentation sites and look at the pics of those poor innocent creatures. They don't deserve it. It is not necessary. We are not the same creature so they can not be 100% accurate. What is the difference of that and beating a dog over the head with a baseball bat?? Nothing. Have u seen what they do to monkeys? they screw metal screws in their heads while they are fully concious. Or they pour chemicals in bunny rabbits eyes. Rats are just as bad. I have 2 pet rats and they are so smart. Just like dogs. They come when u call them and cuddle w/ me on the couch. They are loving, smart beings with a brain and heart.

I'm totally against testing cosmetics on animals, there is no justification for it.
I can't disagree with testing drugs UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS, as put simply, if a relative of mine had cancer, or even diabetes, I would be devastated if no drugs were available.
All the awful cases of animal testing I've seen publicised involve unnecessary testing - extracting bile from Chinese bears for instance. This is pretty blatant immorality as far as I can see.

I am against it, because humans and animals aren't alike and we don't have the same DNA. We should test people who are willing to give their body for scientific testing....I mean it would make a hell of a lot more sense to test humans and not animals.

Animal testing on rats and things like that for medication that is good for us(cancer treatments, AIDS stuff, things that are life threatening) are, in my opinion, justified. I think that if it is for the good of the world, then yes, by all means test on rats and mice and even rabbits or pigs if you need to.
However, the senseless testing on animals for fat-pills, weight loss pills, and makeup? Thats not right. Its not for the good of the world, no one needs it like they need cancer treatment, and the animals have nothing to do with it! At least when they are being tested on for cancer treatmend and AIDS vaccines, they are doing something that matters, something that might change the world. When they're dying because the mascara had a deadly chemical in it, or the nail polish got in their nose and burnt them bad, or when something else terrible happens, thats not right.
There is a line in animal testing that you shouldn't cross, and testing makeup on animals is one of them. If you girly-girls who cant go out of the house without makeup really need it that bad, go to a testing facility and see what they do to those animals for you to look good. Think about that happening to your beloved cat or dog. Then why dont you consider testing it on yourself because you're the one who wants it, not the animals.

Against it with out a question!
It is cruel. We are making innocent animals suffer horribly for our own selfish needs! More people need to be like you and actually CARE about animals! Thanx!

well if its ok to do animal testing then its ok to do human testing as well. I don't think too many humans would volunteer and the same thing goes with animals.

Why don't we just do these tests on humans since the products being created are spposedly going to benefit human beings anyway?
