Egypt is part of Arabian peninsula and Egyptitans are very much alive. The only difference between the Early Egyptians is that they were a great civilization with their own Ancient Gods and Godesses in the lives of their Paraohs, then the Empire fell under many Empires that followed suit until finally they became Muslims predominantly.
They have their Old Historical moments intact in their archives but their Islamic tradition had made their tongues speak Arabic up to this age.

In fact you are wrong. There are Egyptians in Egypt but they speak Arabic. What happened to the Egyptians is the same that happened to the Persians, the Assyrians, The Babylonians , the Hittites and so on. They lost their culture and their language and got assimilated by "superior" cultures. The Egyptians went the way the Etruscans went. They got gobbled up by the Persians then by the Greeks followed by the Romans to be finally assimilated by Islam fresh out of the Arabian Peninsula

The original inhabitants were absorbed over a very long period of time. In the ancient world, there were constant migrations and interbreeding. The ancient Egyptians were a Semitic people and were easily absorbed into the Arabic invasions in the Islamic period.

It is generally believed they looked very much as Egyptians do today. Some think the Copts are more closely related to the ancient Egyptians.

I beleive that the romans kinda took control of Egypt, therefore the ancient egyptian civilization kind of disapeared. the romans were the worlds most advanced, put together military and leadership, which is why they took over so much of the world at the time. then the egyptians just lived life under the romans until whenever, and now they are just egyptians. kinda like american indians were forced onto reservations under the white mans rule, and their way of life on the open plains and such kinda died out. I'm no expert, but thats my best guess.

After all those years, the Egyptian culture had become weakened and was overcome by outsiders, such as the Greeks and the Romans. Later, the Islamic (what you mean by "Arab," I think) culture came in. There was much interbreeding, of course, but the original people are still there in Egypt. It's just that the newer, stronger cultures and religions took over.

The people in Egypt ARE Egyptians. They are the descendants of the ancient Egyptians. They speak Egyptian. They are a different ethnic group than Arabs.

Why does everybody think Muslim = Arab?

Not all Arabs are Muslim
Not all Muslims are Arab.

Muslims do try to learn Arabic, so they can read the Qu'ran in the orginal language.

They didn't disappeared. Egyptians are Arabs and Muslim as well. They are the descendants of that people. The same happened with the Greeks and Romans or Italians. Not just it is the name of that country, they are Egyptians and that it is their legacy and cultural background. Precisely one Egyptian was the ring leader of the 9/11 attacks, his name was Mohamed Atta and was the head of the attacks.

lol! Egyptians are arabs.
are you serious?? that you didn't realize this by now.
Eqyptians, Assassarians, Arabian nomads, etc.. they were basically all pagan worshippers, and prophets came down to diffrent parts of those area of those people and slowly they were changed to follow the Oneness of God. Also, Egypt and Ethopia was a Christian countries even during the time of the prophet Muhammad {SWA}. He and the muslims even had to leave Arabia to move to Ethopia, because of the dangers that the pagan worshippers wanted to kill them, and yes the muslims were given freedom to live in the Christian land under the Chritian king. It's pretty cool doing reseach.
