For the Aussie: Unlike you, your dinosuar books, and your back yard there are fossils in my back yard. In fact there has occurred a major discovery of fossils very near to where I live that is presently off limits. Florida. I do not believe they will find Kangaroo bones, but if they do I will recant.

As for going to college: The problem with college is that one is trained, like a hamster, to follow the dictates, be same true or not, of the day; you are a programmed hamster Further, most scientific discoveries occurred by those outside the field of experts. This tells me that there are those who have intelligence and then there are those that go to college to become disciples of the one who made a discovery.

Don't know about you, and the only one I envy is the Aussie cause of where he lives, will be headed out to the Gulf to do a bit of snook fishing.

Most the fish I caught today, on this site, were not keepers.

I think that your statement about colleges and what they do to students, train them to become hamsters, is not totally correct. This is because there are places where you are just given the information available and the choice to choose whether you accept it or not. I do agree that some colleges, or even the majority, do exactly what you say, but in some other colleges their focus is on expanding the students abilities to think critically by themselves and to be able to do anything they want to do after they live college instead of getting stuck in one field that you may end up hating after graduation.

1/ DO NOT INSULT HAMSTERS. they are wonderful, doubty little fellows with a great deal of courage and fortitude.

2/ It is obvious you have never been to college. You have just fallen victim to TV and holiwood science. Most advances in science are made within universities. Only on TV and in films are great advances made by the at home guy. In both my degrees I was encurraged to question and examine all the evidence and weigh it up. this is standard.

3/ DO NOT INSULT THE AUSSIES. For they were the breakwater in both world wars. They fought with the greatest bravery and fortitude of any of the allied forces. They hold a position in the world which far out strips their tiny population.

By the way I am English

Uh - I don't know what colleges you are referring to, but the most here in the states (Liberty University and Oral Roberts University aside, obviously) teach the scientific method. The theory of evolution by natural selection is based on the scientific method, which draws conclusions based on observable and measurable phenomena.

Evolution is fact dude.

I believe you misspelled "church" as "college".
