I did some changes inside my home and had to re organize the coax cables. I got some 2 way and one 3 way splitter but now i see there is signal loss everywhere afecting the quality of the picture and killing the cable modem signal.

I need some recomendations about how to set up the lines and what cable ampliffier should i buy.
I read some stuff by googling and know it needs to have a return channel or something like that, and im clueless about the MHZ things,

I just made a scheme of my current setup. you can see it here:

Any suggestions and recommendations are very welcome.

Just one detail... the cable modem needs to stay where it is because i have it connected to a linux firewall and other networking stuff, i can not move it to the living room, where i know it would be the best place.

Thank you very much!

This isn't really an answer, but I once read somewhere that boosters for analog signals and boosters for digital signals are not quite the same.

If you do decide to use a booster, you might want to run the cable signal through a high-quality noise filter before boosting it so the noise won't also be amplified. I've had good luck with Panamax equipment, but it's expensive, and the source outlets have to be properly wired for it to work properly.

Good luck.

Put the first splitter ahead of the amp. put a splitter after the amp and run this to the tv's. Run directly from the first splitter to cable modem. Do not have the amp in line with the modem. It needs to be direct. Make sure all your connectors are correct and not loose or shorted.

the first splitter is fine. the amplifier should be placed on the line going to the other 2 splitters. radio shack has a good one for pretty cheap
