if your hair is really dark it will take a few times to lighten it..just so they dont ruin your hair or turn in funky colors like gray or green when dying it. i would go for a light brown color and put in some natural looking blonde highlights. i wouldnt do them chunky either.

if you want to lighten it go w/ highlights and do it in stages,yes it's damaging ...get a trim ever 2 months to manage the weak ends and use a protien treatment before your service
if you go complpetely blonde in one stage it may severely damage it depending on how well you have taken care of your hair and it may be considered a color correction which is more expensive

I got light brown hair so what came to my mind is if you are to be totally blond and love being in the sun, try being in the sun a lot (with sunscreen and not getting sunburned) and see if your hair lightens up!

well, I like to colour my hair too- but! in the summer if you stay in the pool allot, and outdoors your hair will naturally lighten, mine always does, and I get cute freckles across my nose, I don't need any make up, and it is sooo good to feel natural ((:

its hard to say light hair with dark skin is not good enless it is a natural blonde
