The only things you should consider is "Is this offensive?" and "Am I willing to keep this name for my character for good?"
If you're looking for interesting names, find a few name websites and pick one that you like, but isn't so common as to be overused.
Personally, I chose 'Spider Albion.' But of course, my character is my inner punk/goth...

Use A nickname but It would be ill advised to use your real name. Or just use a variation of your yahoo name.
