I decided to take a day off from work ... as a mental health sick day. Does anybody else feel like someitmes they just can't face all the drama at work? My boss who is a total Back Stabbing B-tch got pregnant again with a guy she totally trapped, he's not going to marry her and yet she get's pregnant with him again. Not saying this guy is cool for letting this happen. The drama is too much. Taking a day off did I do the right thing?

Yes. One day when you retire and look back at your life, you will wish you had taken more days. Enjoy life.

Heck yes. And while you're at maybe you should give Maury a call and tell him to come settle all this crap between your boss and whoever the dude is. Taking a day off was probably the best decision you'll make all week. You may want to think about turning in your notice. That drama is unprofessional and immature.

Sure it is okay. In an ideal work place (which usually does not exist) we should be able to leave work at work and not bring it home. THis usually does not happen. A day off is fine. 5 days off in a week not fine lol if it is work related. That means you hate your job and should get another one so your efforts are not wasted. Bosses are weird. Im lucky, i got a good one right now. See how long it lasts only been at this place for a month lol. Good luck!

I think you should focus on yourself and your own work and future instead of falling into the drama wheel of death.

Ask youself this very important question: Do you actually give a sh*t, and if the answer is "yes" - Than why?! Who really cares what goes on in someone else's personal life. Does it directly effect you? No - Stop being self important, stop caring about in-consiquential things, and you'll be just fine.

Stop whining is pretty much what im getting at.

Yes I think everyone needs a mental health day every now and again. Did you ever think of working for yourself? There are companies that are always looking for dedicated individuals and there is no drama when you are self employed. If you want the website of a legit group, send me an e-mail at tal337@yahoo.com and I will forward the info to you.

Personal problems and drama should always be left out when working. You should not be worried with your boss drama or problems. You can do your work and not care about the rest. First thing in any job or career is the responsibility. If you don't feel happy with it then I think its time to get another job, don't you think?

You took a day off because your boss is pregnant? That makes no sense. As one of the peons at the bottom of the totem pole at my job, let me tell you that other people have to cover for you.
If you have problems with your boss, you need to address them, not dump your work on someone else.

If you have the time coming, what difference does it make why you take the day off? Enjoy your freedom from the drama, just remember it will be waiting there for you tomorrow!

Sounds like a heck of a workplace! Take as many days as you need -- in fact -- find another job during one of your days off. This sounds like a law suit waiting to happen. Hostile work environment doesn't even begin to explain it. People shouldn't be sharing their personal "my baby daddy" information at work. You'd be smart to look elsewhere.
