I agree that the older country music is great, but I listen more to the newer stuff like Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Sugarland, etc. Who else likes this type of music, and who are your favourite singers?

I like them all, I was raised with country music and it has been an interesting transition. Country sort of developed out of folk music and developed its own style and has continued changes to this day. Love'em all from Hank Williams to Faith Hill (who is my favorite)

It's good to see country music represented here on Yahoo!Answers.

I listen to new country. My favorite singers include Randy Travis, Mark WIlls, Collin Raye, Keith Anderson, Dierks Bentley, SHe*DAISY, the Dixie Chicks (Natalie's comment about President George W Bush made me like them even MORE), SugarLand, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Gretchen Wilson, the Wreckers, *old* Faith Hill and Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis. I have linked to my Yahoo Music radio station in the sources section.

I saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill when they came through the San Francisco Bay Area on their Soul-2-Soul II tour. You're in for a great show.

I luv country music!! But some artists don't really sound all that country, like they are adding in like a rock and roll sound which isn't pure country but it's always nice to see what people can come up with!! Country Rox all the way!!!

I dont really care for the new stuff. It reminds me of 80's rock and roll. The only modern artists I like are Brad Paisley, Toby Keith and Alan Jackson.
